I don’t think it is the act of selfishness. Or maybe I just don’t understand why question if it is selfish or not. I don’t believe it’s “forcing” someone to “stay in a world where they are so unhappy.” It’s having the undying hope that that person does not have. It’s the strength that they’re trying to lend during that person’s weak fragile times. But maybe I just don’t know the situations of where one does force someone… I believe in hope and strength. That even through our darkest times, if we only believe and have the strength (even the tiniest bit) we can find ourselves. We are capable of getting back up again. And I understand that it’s hard to remember this when we are at our lowest… I too have thought of the latter. I say no maybe because I’m still young. And I still haven’t really lived, you know? I want to experience the pure beauty of life even though hardships come my way all the time. I refuse to give up. I refuse to give up when I see a future ahead of me and I see who I want to be. But maybe time is a factor in this question. That maybe if you think you’ve already lived long enough and loved enough and laughed enough, then maybe it is okay to leave the world. But only knowing that you’ve really lived your life. But if not and you’re unhappy, then change your path. Live the life you’ve always wanted to live and live knowing that you didn’t go down without a fight. That is what I believe.
